Enriching
pets' lives

Devoted to the physical and mental wellbeing of companion animals

Why are we the UK’s No.1?

Dr Roger Mugford established his veterinary referral service for ‘problem pets’ in 1979, and since then it has grown to become a world class dog training and behaviour facility. In 2021, Company of Animals Pet Centre launched its veterinary physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services as part of our expanded commitment to pain management and the overall well-being of pets.

The newly equipped physiotherapy and hydrotherapy centre includes a state-of-the-art underwater treadmill and a veritable fitness gym for dogs, ideal for treating a range of conservative, pre and post-operative conditions. Our unique Pet Centre enables us to offer a broad multimodal and multidisciplinary approach to pet care where pain is so often relevant to understanding animal behavioural problems.

Each year, the Centre also helps thousands of people and their pets at all stages of their lives. From boisterous puppies learning good manners and meeting friendly farm animals, to veterinary-referred clients whose pets require behaviour improvement. We also cater for owners who just want a bit of fun with their furry friend – attending classes on agility, gundog or obedience. Although dogs are our main clients, our team are more than qualified to give advice on cats, birds, and other small pets too.

You may like to hire our fenced agility field with competition standard equipment to practise your handling. Please note this is only for agility trained dogs. We can also provide 121 lessons for beginner agility handlers. Please contact us for further information - 01932 574293 or visit our Facebook page.
