You can find many answers to frequently asked questions on the corresponding brand/product page or on our YouTube Channel. If after looking your question is still not answered, please contact us using the details found on the Contact page.

If you have an issue with your product, we would recommend in the first instance to go back to the original place of purchase as in most cases they will be able to help you. If after this you need further help, please head over to our Contact page and email a photo of the product and proof of purchase for our review.

The Satisfaction Guarantee is covered across the following brands only: Halti Training, Halti Walking, Baskerville, CarSafe and CoA Training. The Satisfaction Guarantee lasts up to 30 days from date of purchase or date of receipt of goods if purchased online as standard. Since 1979, we’ve designed quality products to help bring you and your dog closer together. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact our customer services team at via the contact form. If you wish to make a claim, you need to contact us within 30 days from date of purchase or date of receipt of goods if purchased online. We will ask for proof of purchase and other relevant information which will help us help you. Return shipping costs are non-refundable.

All our products have a warranty lasting up to 12 months from date of purchase, whereas our battery-run products have 24 months warranty from date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing faults and excludes damage caused by chewing or incorrect use.

If your issue is urgent and you need our assistance, we would recommend direct messaging us on our Facebook or Instagram pages and a member of the team will be in contact as soon as possible. Please note that our opening hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm GMT (excluding public holidays).

We endeavour to respond to enquires within 3 working days, however this may be extended during busy times or if your case requires further investigating.

Our Pet Centre offers an array of services such as classes and consultations to suit the needs of your furry friend. We have over 40 years experience understanding dog behaviour and training. You can get in touch with the Pet Centre using the contact details at the bottom of their page.

To exchange or return your product, or need a different size, we recommend going back to the retailer you bought the product from. Please check your retailer’s return policy for more information.

As we are only the manufacturer, we do not have access to Retailer’s internal systems and so we would not be able to supply any information regarding your order. We recommend contacting the retailer you bought the item from directly for further help or an update of your order.

Yes! Here at Company of Animals it’s not all about dogs, we have plenty of great products for cats as well; from interactive feeders and toys to grooming, you’re sure to find something to keep your feline friend happy. Some of these have been specifically designed for cats but we have also included some of our traditional ‘doggie’ products that are also proving very popular with our cat loving customers!

You will find that our Halti Training and Halti Walking brand pages has a diagram to show what harnesses are best for different walking habits, different breed types and ages, including the different features they have. The Halti Training range will show all our no-pull harness options.

Many of our Halti products have reflective stitching on them which is great for walks when it is darker. Please check out our Halti Walking and Halti Training brand page to have a closer look at all the fantastic features our products have!

We recommend using the CarSafe Harnesses for car journeys.

The CarSafe Crash-Tested and CarSafe Dog Travel Harness can be attached directly to the car seat-belt system through the loop nearest the top of the harness. Check out our CarSafe brand page to find out more.

For generalised walking, we would recommend the Halti Walking Harness and Halti Comfy Harness. Using a double-ended lead with these harnesses such as the Halti Training Lead will provide you with added control and will help your puppy learn to walk nicely on the lead. Make sure to keep the any form of training positive by rewarding treats for good behaviour.

If you have a puppy that pulls excessively on the lead, our Halti Training range can help! We recommend that walking-on-the-lead training is only done for a short period each day, and within the overall scope of your puppy’s recommended daily exercise allowance. It is important to note that lead walk training should only be a part of your puppy’s daily exercise which should also include a wide range of activities to aid mental stimulation and early socialisation. A common guideline for estimating a daily exercise level for your puppy is 5 minutes of exercise per month of age, twice a day. So for example, a 5-month-old puppy could have 2 x 25-minute walks daily. However, you should consult with your vet on the appropriate number of minutes per day as a puppy’s breed and development stage will also play a role in the overall exercise time.

You will find all our sizeable products have a size guide to help you identify which sizing category your dog falls into, including a diagram to show where you need to measure on your dog. These are often found in the carousel of each respective product pages.

The mechanisms in our no-pull range are the differing factor which sets us apart from other standard harnesses on the market in the fact that when the dog pulls on the lead, they will feel a different sensation whether that be from the gentle up motion of the Halti No Pull Harness or gentle pressure from the Halti Headcollar.

When trying this product for the first time, make the introduction to the harness as positive as possible but do training in short bursts so that your dog gives their full attention each time. This can be through short walks around your road/street or in your garden and then build up to longer walks. Reward your dog with treats throughout to implement the positive association and to keep your dog interested.

When you do see your dog pulling on the lead, make sure to halt in your tracks, thus imposing the inability for the dog to pull forward. Once the dog stops pulling, praise vocally and reward with a treat, then continue your walk. This will create a positive association between not pulling and being rewarded for good behaviour.

It should be noted that our no-pull harnesses are training aids only and for more complex behaviours that are causing your dog to pull may be best referred to a professional dog trainer.

If your dog’s nose and circumference measurements fall into different sizing brackets, then we would recommend choosing the size that best fits your dog’s length measurement. This is because if you fit a muzzle that is too short in the length, the muzzle will sit further down the dog’s nose, preventing your dog to comfortably pant and drink. It should be noted that with the Baskerville Ultra Muzzle, this can be remoulded with hot tap water. All products within our current range can be hand-washed with warm soapy water. Allow to drip dry and use again when fully dry. We DO NOT recommend using a tumble dryer to dry the products.

For general advice, we recommend rinsing the clips and webbing with plain water after your walk, especially walks that involved sea/sand/mud etc. We recommend checking your lead and clips regularly for any signs of wear and tear and replace when necessary.
